Provisional
Non Domestic Rating Multiplier (UBR) 2008/09
December
2007: The provisional non-domestic rating multipliers
have been announced by the Department for Communities and
Local Government.
Increasing
the small business multiplier in line with the September RPI
inflation figure of 3.9% results in a rise from 0.441 (44.1
pence in the pound) this year, to 0.458 (45.8 pence in the
pound) for 2008/09. The
supplement, used to fund Small Business Rate Relief (SBRR)
is to be increased from 0.003 this year, to 0.004 for 2008/09.
The
provisional 2008/09 multipliers have therefore been calculated
as:
- Non-Domestic
Rating Multiplier 0.462
- Small
Business Non-Domestic Rating Multiplier 0.458
